Education=Future
How can post secondary education support your organization? Provide your input - take our brief employer survey.
Education = Future Economic Prosperity
With the support of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, the Grand Valley Educational Society (GVES) is conducting a research project that focuses on the continued
development of our local workforce. Research indicates that over 85% of employment opportunities will require some form of post secondary education and/or specialized training.
This research project will be a comparative analysis of the current training and education available in Brantford-Brant against the training and educational needs of existing
companies and organizations and skills training which will be a major attractor to future business, industry, organizations and associations.
A City Of Opportunity
Is your organization looking to expand into a vibrant community that has substantial potential and unlimited opportunities? The Grand Valley Educational Society is committed
to the expansion of post secondary education and training opportunities in our community.
If your organization has a post secondary project or idea for Brantford-Brant, please contact us! We will arrange for you to make a presentation at one of our monthly board meetings
and discuss how the GVES may be able to assist you in expanding into Brantford-Brant.
Economic Impact Study
The Grand Valley Educational Society (GVES) is actively working with key community partners to commission an update to the "Economic Impact & Benchmarking Analysis of Laurier Brantford &
Mohawk College on the City of Brantford, Brant County & Other Local Regions" released August 11, 2005.
Since the original study was released, there has been substantial growth, change and transition involving three post secondary institutions in the downtown core. We anticipate this report
will provide a clear and current picture of the impact of post secondary education on our communities.
Brantford-Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo Transit Service
The Grand Valley Educational Society is working with key community partners to determine the feasibility of implementing this transit service. Given the substantial increase of
post secondary presence in our downtown core and the current and projected student numbers, the GVES is confident this service will contribute substantially to our community access
to not only post secondary education but also culture, recreation and sport related events and venues.
